Absolutely not. Most of our members started exactly where you are right now. Move Academia was built for people who feel intimidated by traditional gyms. There's no judgment here — only support, patience, and a coach who genuinely wants to see you succeed. Your first session is customized to YOUR level, not anyone else's.
None at all — beginners are our specialty. We start with the basics: how your spine moves, how to engage your body safely, and how to build a foundation you can grow from. Whether you've never set foot in a gym or you're coming back after years away, we meet you where you are.
Keep it simple — comfortable workout clothes and a pair of sneakers. Bring a water bottle if you'd like, but we've got you covered if you forget. No special equipment needed. Come to your scheduled session ready to move.
This is one of our strengths. Our head trainer has over 10 years of experience working with individuals with special needs and holds a NASM Corrective Exercise Specialist certification. Every session is adapted to accommodate different abilities, injuries, sensory needs, and comfort levels. Just let us know when you book and we'll prepare accordingly.

Yes! We work with young adults and teens regularly. Sessions are adapted for younger bodies and keep things engaging, fun, and safe. Parents love seeing the confidence their kids build here — both physically and mentally. You're welcome to stay and watch the first session.
